About 250 miles. That's about how many miles the Brown family spent in the van today. Here is the breakdown:
About 85 each way to and from Mankato, MN. Mankato is home to Vikings football training camp. We watched football players and coaches running around on the field practicing. It really is best suited for the Viking faithful, but I'm still glad I went. Being only a small chain link fence away from the pros was cool. We also hung out and did the kid stuff in the "Viking Village."
About 37 miles each way to Lake City, MN. A nurse Mark works with was having a going away barbecue for the summer nursing students. It was relaxing to hang out on her deck while the kids all played with outdoor toys on the driveway.
About 5 miles for extra detours to drive around the hospitals in two towns we passed through on our drives. We like to follow the big blue H road signs and find the hospital. The two hospitals we drove around today are also part of the Mayo health system.
About 2-3 miles off the highway when we had to stop and get gasoline.
And that was our day.
