Last week I went with the kids down to Kansas City to visit Meredith, Brian and kids. We had a great time. We left on Monday morning and returned home late Friday afternoon.
Meredith with all the kids: On Tuesday we went to Science City at Union Station:
Wednesday was church history day. We started at Liberty Jail. The retired man from Orem gave a bit long history, but the kids enjoyed seeing the "dungeon" part of the jail.
Miriam, sweet and stained thanks to her new love of real food.
Eating fruit snacks in the sculpture garden:
Lili, Holden, Brooke and Ethan:
Sweet Holden cried when we had to leave. He hates goodbyes of any kind.
The drive (6 hours of actual driving) was not too bad. The way down required two stops, plus one large Ziploc for a barfing incident. On the way home we were expert travelers with only one stop and no barf.
Thanks to Brooke for giving up her bedroom, Meredith for showing us all around and making food for us (the mud brownies!), Ethan for sharing his dinosaur with the baby, and Brian for babysitting during the late night Kohl's expedition by Meredith and me. Thanks to Mark for staying home and working so we could go play and spend money.
