Soaking Rain

It's totally rainy and soggy here in Minnesota. Today has just been drizzle and a few showers. Yesterday was mist and drizzle and Saturday, well Saturday was real rain. It rained non-stop. It would alternate between rain and pouring. For a total of nearly 10 inches on Saturday. I love rainy Saturdays because it gives me the pass to stay home.

Saturday afternoon we went down to the church. I had to set up Primary chairs and Mark needed to catch up on 6 months of church finance reconciliations. When we were finished at the church the only exit from the parking lot was completely covered in deep water. Not wanting to be a marooned mini-van, Mark took us off roading. We exited over the grass and to a dry road (only minor tire tracks were left on the grass).

We're lucky. Several people in our ward have had their basements flooded. Not fun. Even less fun for the people a few cities over who completely lost their homes. For us, the rain just makes our grass and garden lush beautiful green.
