Meet the Teacher Night

Last night was meet the teacher night at Sunset Terrace Elementary.

Holden dressed up with a plaid shirt, jean shorts and his new Nike's. Holden accompanied me and Mark to the school while Lili and Ash played at a friend's house.

As soon as we walked into the school I almost started crying. Sweet little infant Holden is leaving. Okay so it's only 2 1/2 hours a day and I really do want him to learn how to read, but it's still sad.

Holden's teacher, Miss Julie, seems like she knows what she is doing. (She has a last name that is way too hard for kindergartens to pronounce). A couple other parents gave her high teacher recommendations. Starting next week Holden will spend his afternoons learning about numbers, art, science, snack time and lots and lots about reading.
