Moving on (Murphy part 2)

Tonight we had to take Murphy back to his mom and the breeder we got him from. There have been lots of tears since we decided a couple of days ago that it wasn't working out for our family. (Holden has had most of those tears. )

Small children and puppies really just don't go well together. Lots of books and friends said that your youngest child should be five before you get a dog. We did tons of research and we thought we could make it work. Puppies are hyper and so are children. Murphy was a good little dog, but puppies yip, bite, and jump up. Asher is a good little boy, but Ashers squeeze really hard, chase, kick, and pull.

The breeder was very nice and even gave us most of our money back. I'm sad it didn't work out but also relieved. We are dog novices and it was hard to protect the kids and dog from each other.
