Kangaroo Fun

Yesterday, Mark had the bad luck of requiring some oral surgery.

The outpatient surgery was for the marsupialization of a benign keratocyst in his jaw. (The medical facts are hazy to me. ) Anyway, these types of cysts are very aggressive and hard to erradicate. It will require follow-up over several months to make sure the cyst is gone. Even though the cyst wasn't bothering him, it needed to be removed so the cyst wouldn't get so big it could break the jaw.

Mark has spent today at home recovering and doing some work on the computer. His cheek is still puffy and very sore. He keeps taking his Vicodin and drinking 7-Up. Hopefully tomorrow he will feel better. :-)
