Our town has a celebration the last week of June. We've lived here long enough to make it a bit of a family tradition. We don't go to every event, but we have a few favorites that we enjoy.
All week--free swimming at Soldiers' Field:
Wednesday night--Kiwanis family fun carnival and Holden the strong man:

Saturday 5:45 a.m.--waiting for the hot air balloons to launch for the Mayor's Cup:
Saturday 7:00 a.m.--the Ag Council sponsors a breakfast at a local working dairy farm:
