Waiting for morning

Merry Christmas every one.

It looks like Santa Claus made it to our house last night. The cookies over the mantle are missing, the stockings are bulging and there appear to be a whole bunch of boxes under the tree upstairs. (Eric, I'd totally forgotten about our Santa Claus discussion in college. We still believe around here.)

Our kids are too little to wake up way too early with excitement, so they are still peacefully sleeping. Plus last night Mark told them the deal that they were not to leave their room for any reason until Mom or Dad came in.

I'm up way too early thanks to "plump" sleeping issues. Lili sometimes will pat my pregnancy bulge and say, "Mom you're plump." We picked up the word plump from a children's book about a pig named Pinkerton and the word has stuck.

Last night for Christmas Eve we invited a couple of other families from our ward over for dinner. We had ham, rolls, potatoes, two soups and then we decorated sugar cookies for Santa.

Now we just need to wait for morning and our fun new toys.
